My Piano & I
An Intimate Evening of Classical Elegance & Jazz Arrangement
A refined recital experience in the heart of Lagos, where classical mastery meets emotional storytelling and African rhythm.
The Experience
Every note remembers.
Every silence speaks.
My Piano & I is not simply a concert. It is a personal musical journey—a curated evening of 18 expressive pieces that trace the emotional landscape between classical refinement and jazz improvisation.
From the nocturnal poetry of Chopin to the harmonic perfume of Debussy, from the sophisticated fire of Bill Evans to the rhythmic memory of Lagos, this recital celebrates the piano as a storyteller, a confidant, and a bridge between worlds.
Each piece has been chosen not for virtuosity alone, but for its capacity to move, to remember, to speak what words cannot. This is an evening where technique serves emotion, where discipline meets spontaneity, and where African artistry converses with classical tradition.
"In a city alive with rhythm and creativity, this evening offers a moment of timeless musical expression—where every phrase is a conversation, every rest is a breath, and every performance is unrepeatable."

The Artist
Victor Eze
Classical Pianist • Jazz Arranger • Composer
Victor Eze is a Nigerian classical pianist, jazz arranger, and composer whose artistry bridges the disciplined architecture of European concert tradition with the emotional rhythm and improvisational spirit of African musical heritage.
Trained in the classical repertoire—Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff—Victor's technical mastery is matched by a deep sensitivity to jazz harmony and arrangement, drawing inspiration from Bill Evans, Duke Ellington, and the sophisticated voicings of contemporary jazz piano.
His performances are marked by restraint, emotional depth, and a unique ability to make familiar works feel newly discovered. Whether interpreting a Chopin nocturne or reimagining a jazz standard, Victor approaches each piece as a form of storytelling—intimate, cinematic, and unmistakably his own.
Based in Lagos and performing internationally, Victor represents a contemporary Nigerian creative voice—one that honors classical discipline while embracing the rhythmic memory and cultural sophistication of African artistry.
